What is Split Payment ?

Split payment methods are those that accept payment and split it to multiple seller for example user placed an order having multiple products that belongs to multiple seller now to reduce the tough job of dividing the amount among seller and gain commission amount, Split payment methods calculate and split seller amount to their account and commission to admin's account.

Procedure ?

1. Admin install Split Payment Methods(ex: stripe connect , adaptive paypal , braintree marketplace , remita split) and save the configuration after filling all the required details.

2. Now seller needs to connect their account from their profile view under payment section.      

3. After successfully connected whenever buyer placed order contain seller product the amount goes to seller connected account after deducting commission and commission goes to admin account.

Starts with demo

To start with demo you need to know few things:

1. Please select products belongs to different seller for example Bag1 By seller1 and Book2 By Seller2  If user order having products of seller which did not connect their  account then amount goes to admin and details are stored in commission view from where admin can pay to seller.

2. Proceed  with payment using split payment method.

3. Now to check the payment you can login with seller and and open  My payments view from seller menus.


4. You can also check commission entries from commission view in Marketplace admin view






1. Why getting error 'amount exceeds'  in case of Remita payment?

Ans: Amount is divided among admin and seller as per commission set in configurations and Remita fees is deducted from admin amount therefore their may case that admin amount is not sufficient to pay Remita fees in this case you may try increasing quantity of the product so that admin commission increase.

2. How to pay after redirecting to remita ?

Ans: You may use verve card number - 6280511000000095 Exp- 12/2026 Cvv- 123 Pin- 0000 or visit https://www.remita.net/developers/ for more test payment options.

3. Why status is failed after redirecting from Remita ?

Ans: There may be several reasons for status failed  most common is that invalid details are entered, Even some times Remita test server is not responding properly though this was not the case in live mode.
